Diego Subero is a Cyber Security Specialist at the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) at the Organization of American States. In his capacity, Diego manages the hemispheric network of the National CSIRTs and the Computer Crime Corps of the Americas, known as “CSIRTAmericas.org.” Through this platform, he prepares reports on cyber incident trends and issues early warning alerts to member states. Additionally, Diego provides training and consulting services on cyber incident response and recovery to Latin American countries.
Diego is a Computer Engineer specialized in Financial Systems and Data Security Auditing. Before joining the OAS, he has worked in the field of Information Security, focusing on the National Public Administration’s critical infrastructure protection and cyber incidents management, the execution and implementation of safety assessments of security evaluations in web applications, as well as early warning and sensor network administration.
Since 2012, he is an active member of the Venezuelan OWASP chapter and is part of the founding members of the Venezuela National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), in which he served as a specialist in Telematics Incident Management and then in CERT’s Logic Security.”
